For anyone that had visited my website before the complete re-vamp, will remember an article about a project my friend Andy HB and I were working on called levelledup.com. Well, where has the time gone, because even though we are about to go into June 2009, the project never really got off the ground, mainly due to our crazy work commitments over the past year.
Now that both of us have found a little more free time, the project will be a high priority for both over the coming months. This time round, we are planning to develop the website into a community gaming review website; where you, the consumer, can write you own reviews and thoughts about the games you play.
Without going into too much detail, our plan is to develop the website on the WordPress platform but with a whole lot of custom plug-ins to give us the functionality we desire.
Hopefully, we can have a working prototype up and running in the coming months, and then start building our community of real gamers and their thoughts on the games they play.
I’ll try and keep you updated with the progress and hopefully the WordCamp UK 2009 conference in July will give us some great insight into how we can make the most out of WordPress’ existing functionality.
